Oxford Terraces: A Cosmopolitan Retreat in Dubai

Located in the heart of Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), this complete renovation of a newly constructed apartment at Oxford Terraces transformed a cold, contemporary space into a warm, inviting home with a blend of traditional charm and cosmopolitan flair. The client, a well-traveled individual with an appreciation for timeless elegance, sought to infuse the apartment with a sense of history and character.

To soften the sleek, modern feel of the space, we incorporated intricate moldings along both the ceilings and walls, adding a touch of traditional elegance to the otherwise minimalist design. The cold grey tile flooring was replaced with a rich herringbone wood floor, bringing warmth, texture, and a sense of light into the space. Inspired by the client’s love for travel, we carefully curated each room to reflect a cosmopolitan lifestyle. A grand white piano was introduced to create a focal point, adding a touch of refinement to the living area.

The apartment features a spacious 56 sqm terrace with a jacuzzi, offering ample space for outdoor entertaining. Drawing inspiration from the client's travels to Italy and France, we created a striking black-and-white theme that runs across the terrace, providing a chic, sophisticated setting ideal for hosting guests and enjoying tranquil moments.

One of the unique challenges of the project was transforming a tiny guest/study room into a cozy, welcoming oasis. By incorporating beautiful floral-patterned wallpaper and soft, inviting furniture, we created a charming space that provides guests with both comfort and style.

For the master bedroom, we embraced a moody, night club-inspired aesthetic, using deep wine reds and rich purple velvets. The queen-size bed was complemented by custom curtains that brought a sense of intimacy and sophistication, transforming the space into a luxurious, restful retreat.

The renovation of Oxford Terraces perfectly reflects the client’s cosmopolitan tastes while blending the elegance of traditional design with modern comforts, creating a home that is both stylish and welcoming.
